The Brian Sinfield Gallery
The Brian Sinfield Gallery needed a new website for their gallery in Burford and online shop that their staff could update easily and would show off the art boldly to visitors.
We started with the back-end designing a dashboard to help them create content, manage sales leads and display a prolific amount of art before then designing a contemporary, clean and easy to use website.
Selling artwork online has been a revelation for the gallery and the site has helped them showcase and sell artist’s works more successfully than ever before.
The Tite Inn, Chadlington
The Tite Inn had been coping with a website from a free supplier for a couple of years and didn’t think a new site would make a tangible difference to their business.
We put together a clean site that shows the character and warmth of this traditional Cotswold pub and the landlords immediately saw a huge increase in online table bookings.
The Tite Inn’s website now hosts hundreds of unique visitors each day, many of whom then go on to book tables for lunch and dinner.
ROSY (Respite Care for Oxfordshire’s Youngsters) is a charity paying the salaries of NHS nurses to give respite care to sick children in their homes.
When ROSY approached The Cotswold IT Guy they needed their existing site to be modernised, made mobile responsive and to get their story told concisely.
“The Cotswold IT Guy is a pleasure to work with and has been infinitely patient with our many requests. We could not be happier with the new website.”

Great Design, Inside & Out
Here are Some we Made Earlier…
The Brian Sinfield Gallery
The Brian Sinfield Gallery in Burford wanted a clean, modern looking website to reflect their gallery’s contemporary artwork.
We built a site that is completely database driven with a custom back-end to allow gallery staff to easily and quickly update just about any aspect of the site, from artists, the artwork, exhibitions, news and even an online Flip Book to display their latest catalogue.
The site also features an online store allowing the secure purchase of artwork and even allows registered visitors to create their own gallery featuring their favourite work.
The Bower House Restaurant
We were contacted by Shipston-on-Stour’s The Bower House while it was being built. They were planning to open a really stylish and contemporary restaurant with rooms, and everything needed to be perfect.
The owners had very specific ideas about how they wanted the website to look and feel and we delivered precisely to their spec. Not only do they have an easy-to-navigate site to show off the restaurant, but table and room bookings were incorporated into the site too.
The back-end of the site, like all of the websites we design, is super-easy for the client to use too. They can modify menus, wine lists and image galleries to their hearts content knowing that it will all look fabulous when they hit save!
The Tite Inn
The Tite Inn, Chadlington, needed a new website to show off what makes it such a great pub. There are many high priced ‘gastro’ pubs in the Cotswolds but the Tite offers something different – great pub food at reasonable prices, in a traditional country pub with a beautiful garden.
We set about designing a website that shows the pub to be the heart of the village, welcoming locals and visitors alike. We used lots of imagery to show the warm, welcoming interior, the stunning gardens and the relaxing restaurant. The homepage is dynamic allowing changing content to promote events, special menus or any other story the landlord wants to promote.
The result has been a website that generates a constant flow of table bookings and enquiries and has already paid for itself many times over.
The Rathbones Folio Prize
When Rathbones became the Folio Prize’s title sponsor, we were asked to create a new website for this prestigious literary prize to incorporate Rathbones’ corporate look and feel, while designing a site that would promote the prize and its prize winning authors.
The brief was to create a site that was simple, elegant and fitted with Rathbone’s corporate style guide without mimicking it. The site needed to have stories that could be written in advance to be auto-published at given times, while old content would simultaneously expire and be removed.
All this was achieved in a very tight timescale, and both The Folio Prize and Rathbones were delighted with the site, delivered on time and on budget.
The Old Stile Press
The Old Stile Press, nestled in the idyllic Wye valley near Tintern Abbey, is a book publisher with a difference.
All OSP’s books are lovingly handmade by artists with a passion for each and every book they make. Each individual book is considered, rightly, a work of art.
The Old Stile Press wanted a website that reflected their traditional values, so they didn’t want an modern “plasticky” look and feel, but something more organic that felt as if it belongs with their books. We designed a website with that ethos in mind, but made sure the back-end was ultra modern, allowing the owners to easily update and modify their book catalogue.
The site is database driven and designed to allow new books, authors and artists to be added easily. The database contains all the relevant meta data so information about publishing runs, artists and special editions is dynamically created when the visitor views a book.
Fringe Hair & Beauty
Fringe Hair & Beauty in Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire, already had a website when they called us in, but it was a few years old and was difficult to update and they felt it needed a refresh.
We evolved the existing design, but added a blog and an announcement section, plus a page for their beauty therapist too. Price lists were added and the site was integrated with a MailChimp database so the salon could keep in regular touch with their clients. While the site was an evolution of what was there before, the foundations were built anew, using the most modern and effective technology to control the back-end of the site.
